2018年《期刊引證報告》

2018年6月26日，2018年《期刊引證報告》（Journal Citation Reports,簡稱JCR）進行了更新發佈。

· 涵蓋了80個國家/地區、234個學科的11,655種期刊；

· 276種期刊首次獲得期刊影響因數；

· 為了保證JCR的公正性，20種期刊被警告並且不公佈其影響因數，其中14種出於自引原因，6種出於引用堆疊（Citation Stacking），如一組期刊之間通過增加不必要的相互引用提升被引表現。被警告的期刊每年會被重新評估，以決定是否重新列入JCR。

· JCR涉及超過6400萬的參考文獻，其中參與期刊影響因數計算的近1000萬。

增加2017年圖書引文索引資料庫（Book Citation Index）對JCR期刊的引用，其中，自然科學領域的期刊被引用了120萬次（11.8萬計算入期刊影響因數），社會科學領域的期刊被引用了30.3萬次（1.8萬計算入期刊影響因數）。從數位看，來自圖書的引文貢獻很小，但擴展JCR的引文網路至圖書領域則有更為重要的意義，其展現了圖書和學術期刊作為整合資源在學術界中的作用。
